Love Korea.
It’s the people, the design, the arts, the city, the food, the music, the ethos, the challenges and the future that inspire me. Here’s just a few glimpses into our recent trip there with family and friends.

Jeju is a fascinating place. Beautiful. Discovered this is the place to eat horse. yes, that's right. Heard it's really good. And I didn't try it this time around.

I was asked to select a number from the raffle. So reluctantly walked up and bam! I selected my own number! sweet.

This is what I was given to eat. They told me it was a delicacy given to special guests. What would you do?
Being third culture, I ate it.
Verdict: very fatty and crunchy.
What was it?
A very large fish eye.
I’m still recovering from the queasiness of that moment.

Dave – I met you at M in Detroit and something you said after our brief introduction has caused some stirring in my spirit. I’ve been told to “keep following the clues” and that’s how I landed here, at your blog, at Korea Trip. I’ve been wrestling with the concept of third culture after you looked straight in my eyes and told me what my third culture was. You may or may not remember that moment, but it’s a milestone of my story.
I know you’re extremely busy, but I have a few questions I would like to run by you regarding the Korean culture and the impact of a third culture movement.
Also, if you had tried the horse, it may have saved you from the eyeballs! Just a thought.
